Summary:
Jared's feeling strange, detached and hyper aware of everything around him. Sure, he's an X5 but it doesn't explain why he's feeling horny all day round. Maybe Max's in heat and projecting? It sure as hell can't be him.
He feels strange most of the time these days, as if his body is walking in another direction, one he can’t follow, one he doesn’t know how to follow. He doesn’t know when it started and at first he tried to ignore it until the tug, the urge to do something became almost too strong. What he wants to do, what he body wants to do, Jared can’t tell, can’t identify. And it scares him a little how out of his element he feels.

It's also part of the "The Long Way Home" verse. It's not really necessary to read the other parts but it might help with some things. This story can still be read as a standalone though. It's set after the end of "Long way Home" an d after "With the satellites failing prepare for ascension".
